Energy Category   based on the IEA classification scheme
Research type   used to distinguish between pure research, applied research, and development and demonstration
Science and Technology   based on the UNESCO scheme and the RAE schemes; used to show which disciplines are being used in the project
Cross Cutting   a scheme devised by UKERC to identify cross cutting and inter-disciplinary research
