Abstract
The vision of INDEED is to investigate ion diffusion in electrode microstructure. INDEED will explore two areas: (i) I will develop new electrode materials that can exhibit faster ion diffusion; and (ii) I will develop novel and scalable processing of organising particles in an ordered electrode microstructure to achieve faster ion diffusion. INDEED will also show a new characterisation approach to study ions in the electrodes for the first time to provide the experimental results. The developments from INDEED will benefit a wide range of areas including energy storage and conversion. In specific, INDEED will apply the approaches to two types of energy devices: solid-state lithium metal battery (SSLMB) and solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC)
