Objectives
Abstract
(i) Thin film cells:A model of polycrystalline devices, with particular attention paid to grain boundaries. Particular issues we will address are(a) influence of diffuse interfaces and interfacial roughness(b) different device geometries(c) performance of large area cells (ii) Dye-sensitised cells:A model of cells with solid hole conductors, to understand why these cells are less efficient than electrolyte based cells. Particular issues we will address are(a) charge-charge interactions(b) charge transport, recombination and extraction for several different hole and electron conductors (c) morpholog
