| Objectives | The aim is to develop and trial a new market-based solution which uses services provided by a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) together with local Distributed Energy Resources (DER) to swiftly, automatically, restore power to customers in the event of a fault. In addition to demonstrating the technical concept, the work will develop the commercial framework for RaaS - evaluating the financial case from a DNO perspective and assessing the investment case for RaaS service providers with options for revenue stacking in other flexibility services markets. | |
| Abstract | The Resilience as a Service - RaaS - innovation project seeks to improve the operational resilience of ED networks in remote areas. | |
