Abstract | The Energy Efficiency Innovation Review (EEIR) will examine what is needed to deliver cost effectively the step-change in energy efficiency to which Defra has committed. As a key input to the wider review of the UK Climate Change Programme, the EEIR will examine future policy options, covering: All energy end-use sectors except transport (i.e. business, commercial / public sector and household) and all energy services (i.e. space and water heating, cooling, lighting, appliance power, process consumption.); Demand-side technologies, excluding energy generating or transforming technologies; All policy levers (i.e. regulatory, voluntary, information, price mechanisms, market mechanisms, grants and R&D grants and government procurement). | |
