Abstract | The Sixth Euratom RTD Framework Programme for research and technological development (FP6) will terminate in 2006. The seventh RTD framework programme (FP7) will commence thereafter. Nuclear fission safety has been a part of the work programme in all previous frameworks and is expected to be included in FP7. The HSE and DEFRA have a number of policy interests in the Framework Programmes and are likely to sit on the FP7 Working Groups in the areas of: -Safety and efficiency of existing and future reactor systems -Management of radioactive waste. | |
