Abstract | Integrated Projects and a Network of Excellence consortia are proposed for the EC's 6F which builds on a current 5F and previous projects. A set-up grant is sought to facilitate the development of these consortia. The realisation of sustainable energy and transport infrastructures, requires efficient, environmentally friendly and reliable electrical systems achieved by:- advanced design and production to reduce hazardous materials, improved cost effectiveness, reliability and longevity, and recyclability of components. ELECSUS/CONNOESUS consortia underpin technologies by reinforcing and complimenting the high quality research and technological breakthroughs of many European organisations, to form a critical mass of knowledge and resource. To ensure Europe's competitiveness, ELECSUS/CONNOESUS are grounded on fundamental research but ensure dissemination, transfer and exploitation of knowledge with continual evaluation of the economical and social impact | |
