Objectives
Abstract
This project seeks to assess the feasibility of developing an in situ carbon dioxide sensing array capable of deployment on the North Sea Floor. The Array is intended to detect leakage from CO2 storage facilities currently proposed in redundant and semi redundant oil wells in the North Sea basin. The system will be based on individual sensors placed on the sea floor and linked together via an acoustic based communication system capable of developing a risk based profile of any leakage over a wide geographical area.
