Abstract	This industry sub-theme report focusses exclusively on seven industries: chemicals, food & drink, iron & steel, cement, pulp & paper, glass, and ceramics. Together, these industries account for close to two-thirds of all direct manufacturing emissions in the UK. These will need to decarbonise or offset their emissions (with technologies such as carbon capture, utilisation, and storage (CCUS)), in order to meet the UK’s 2050 climate change targets.
