Abstract:
This paper is titled is 'Review of Atmospheric Trends and Issues at Continental and Regional Level' and is an annex to the report titled 'A Review of Technical Issues and Capabilities In the Application of Integrated Assessment At Regional and Global Levels'. Differences between regions in atmospheric trends and issues will inevitably be very important for the feasibility of global integrated assessment, and even more for the sort of political structures that will be relevant for tackling transboundary pollution at regional and global level. This paper therefore summarises relevant air pollution trends at continental and regional level, largely on the basis of UNEP’s Global Environmental Outlook (GEO) project, across 8 areas:Publication Year:
