Abstract:
<ul><li>The lack of appraisal of CO<sub>2</sub> storage sites is considered a key hurdle to progressing CCS in the UK.</li><li>This UKStore project will screen, select and progress appraisal of 5 CO<sub>2</sub> stores, applying international best practice.</li><li>The methodology involves screening over 500 aquifer and depleted hydrocarbon fields to select the most suitable 20, and then assessing the suitability of these to select 5.</li><li>The 5 selected sites will be appraised to materially progress understanding and reduce risk.</li></ul><!-- CO2 -->
